Enzo Maresca: Chelsea Players Must Buy Into New Management

Maresca Warns Chelsea Players of Tuchel's Demands

Chelsea assistant manager Enzo Maresca has warned the club's players that they must fully commit to Thomas Tuchel's management style if they want to succeed under the German coach. Tuchel, who replaced Frank Lampard in January, has implemented a new system of play and training methods at Stamford Bridge, and Maresca has made it clear that players who are not willing to adapt will not be selected for the team.

Maresca's Comments

"If they don't buy, they don't play," Maresca said in an interview with The Telegraph. "It's as simple as that. The manager has made it clear what he wants from his players, and it's up to them to deliver. If they don't, then they will not be part of the team."

Maresca's comments come as Chelsea prepare for their Premier League clash with Southampton on Saturday. The Blues are currently fourth in the table, but they have lost their last two matches and are in need of a victory to get their season back on track.

Tuchel has made a number of changes to Chelsea's playing style since taking over, and Maresca has admitted that it has taken some time for the players to adjust to the new system. However, he is confident that the team will eventually adapt and start to produce the results that Tuchel demands.

"It's a new system, and it takes time to adapt," Maresca said. "But the players are working hard, and they are starting to understand what the manager wants. I'm confident that we will see a big improvement in the team's performance in the coming weeks."

Tuchel's Demands

Tuchel has made it clear that he expects his players to be disciplined, organized, and committed to the team. He has also demanded that they play with high intensity and aggression, both on and off the ball.

Maresca's comments suggest that Tuchel is not afraid to drop players who are not willing to meet his demands. This could mean that some of Chelsea's big-name players, such as Timo Werner and Kai Havertz, could find themselves out of the team if they do not start to perform.

It remains to be seen whether Tuchel will be able to turn Chelsea into a title-winning team. However, his comments suggest that he is willing to make tough decisions in order to get the best out of his players.
