Dollywood Introduces Lightning Rod, a Thrilling New Suspended Coaster

Dollywood, the beloved theme park co-owned by Herschend Family Entertainment and country music legend Dolly Parton, is excited to announce the grand opening of Lightning Rod, a groundbreaking suspended coaster that will take guests on an exhilarating flight through the park.

Lightning Rod is a state-of-the-art roller coaster that mimics the flight of a dragonfly. It features a unique suspended design that allows riders to experience the sensation of soaring through the air. The coaster reaches speeds of up to 73 mph and climbs to a thrilling height of 165 feet, providing breathtaking views of the surrounding Smoky Mountains.
